Where does it hurt if you have IBS?

The stomach pain and discomfort associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) are usually located in the lower abdomen below the belly button. Most commonly, the pain occurs in your lower left side, but the pain can actually occur anywhere in the abdomen. The pain can be dull, sharp, cramping or constant.

What happens when IBS flares up?

Better Diet Choices for Diarrhea:
  1. Eat a moderate amount of soluble fiber.
  2. Don't eat foods at opposite temperatures, such as ice-cold water and steaming hot soup, in the same meal.
  3. Stay away from broccoli, onions, and cabbage.
  4. Eat smaller portions.
  5. Drink water an hour before or after meals, not while you eat.
